When Birmingham’s most iconic nightclub Snobs moved from its original Suffolk Street Queensway location back in 2014, they took on a much larger venue; paving the way for a daytime food offering. I’d like to introduce you to Snobs Bar & Grill.
I’ve been working with Snobs since early 2017 after they approached me to take over its social media channels and create the club’s very first mailing list.
At the beginning, the club’s social media was operated by a mish-mash of DJs, promoters and venue managers, and to be be honest, there was no strategy.
Snobs’ online presence consisted of different people posting all over the shop with no communication, which in turn dramatically decreases reach, engagement and the end goal: conversion.
The simple task of having somebody take control of all social media channels, merge duplicate content and work with a uniform method of sharing and engaging with customers has resulted in an approximate 500% increase in Facebook page likes (currently 18,264 likes). Not to mention the most important thing: more customers through the door.
Snobs launched its new food menu on Friday August 3rd and in order for us to achieve maximum exposure, I asked in-house club photographer Jonathan Morgan to spend an evening with me at the club, working together to come up with creative ideas and killer shots for the next few month’s social posts.
To announce the new menu launch in style, we ran a competition which was incredibly positive for all involved and saw some of our most positive and least negative content to date – the latter of which, anyone who operates social media accounts will know it’s not easy to fend of negativity no matter the type of content!
I think you’ll agree that the photos we managed to work on are pretty good and really show off the great food on offer at Snobs Bar & Grill.
From its £10 beer and burger offer to £5 mini fish and chips on Fridays, the new menu at Snobs Bar & Grill is packed with value and offers comfort food for everyone, seven days a week.
Since working with Jonathan to get a great selection of photos together, engagement on all food related social media posts has increased dramatically and I’m confident that it’s only going to increase further.
Such is the early success of Snobs Bar & Grill’s new food menu and the club’s increasing popularity, the club now finds itself on the prestigious Independent Birmingham card – alongside well over 100 other incredible independent businesses in Brum – meaning that awareness of Snobs will organically increase as cardholders enjoy 20% discount on food and £1 off club entry.
The next time you’re planning on dancing away to your favourite indie anthems at Snobs, why not pop in for a bite to eat beforehand?
